The most beautiful natural spaces in the USA

The United States has some of the most exciting cities and the best atmosphere in the world. It’s no wonder everyone wants to visit the French Quarter in New Orleans or the Las Vegas Strip, but for every urban attraction, there’s an equally impressive natural landmark in this country. If you go to the United States, it would be (almost) a tragedy not to visit them.

If you want to see some of the world’s most breathtaking scenery first hand, here’s a list of the top destinations in the United States recommended by travelers from around the world for enjoying nature.

Fish Camp, Calif

Beautiful places in USA

Fish Camp is a tiny community located right next to Yosemite National Park. To get there, just drive a few minutes to the south entrance of the park, where you will be greeted by the fantastic grove of giant sequoia trees of the Mariposa Grove and home to the Grizzly Giant, a tree some 1,900-2,400 years old.

From here, you will be about 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley, where you will feel very small when you see the huge granite mountains. Take a selfie with the incredible El Capitan and Bridalveil Falls in the background, but don’t be surprised if your camera fails to capture the extraordinary purple glow of the granite and the dark green of the pines, firs, and cedars.

Tin Lizzie Inn, a pretty Victorian-style farmhouse, offers bed-and-breakfast accommodation near the south entrance of Yosemite National Park.

Everglades City, Florida

Most people pass through Everglades City on their way to the national park (and America’s largest subtropical wilderness) of the same name and the Ten Thousand Islands. This labyrinth of islets and twisting mangroves is a surreal place where you can canoe through tunnels of vegetation and stand on bare stretches of sand. Ecotours can be done on foot, by plane, by bike, or by motorboat during which you will spot manatees, birds, and other exotic animals and plants with a bit of luck.

Ivey House B&B is a sustainable accommodation located a short distance from the Everglades National Park.

Bluff, Utah

Utah is home to some of nature’s most awe-inspiring wonders, and Bluff is a great starting point for exploring them. The Grand Canyon, a masterpiece of intricate rock formations that glow red in the scorching Utah sun, is just a few hours’ drives away. Also not far is Gooseneck State Park, a deep bend in the San Juan River that appears to have been drawn by a large finger in the sand.

The location of La Posada Pintada, in the heart of Bluff, is very good. From the windows, you can see the desert and the huge rock formations.

Twentynine Palms, Calif

The small town of Gardiner has served as the gateway to Yellowstone National Park since before it was officially founded as a city in 1880. Yellowstone is one of the most famous nature reserves in the United States, spanning three states and covering an area of almost 9,000 km2. It is also home to elk, bison, moose, bear, reindeer, and many other animals. In the park, you can also see the Old Faithful, a cone-shaped geyser that spews water almost every hour.

Yellowstone Gateway Inn is Gardiner’s highest-rated accommodation.

Monument Valley, Utah

The great reddish rock formations that rise above the desert depression known as Monument Valley are found in southeastern Utah, and their distinctive boulders are the work of wind erosion over millions of years. You can’t hike these boulders without a guide, but be sure to drive through the area at sunrise to see them in all their glory.

At Abajo Haven Guest Cabins you can stay in some of their wooden houses and immerse yourself in nature, as well as being close to Utah’s Monument Valley.
